2,900 Google clicks in 2026, from 54 over the same weeks of 2025

The business

A local business that takes bookings online and has a busy season and a quiet one. We do its search work. It is not a hearing clinic or any kind of health care. We don't identify it, and the screenshots below are cropped so the site can't be found from them. Hearing care is new for us; this is the plainest example of the work we can show you.

Before

Between 2022 and 2025 the site had put up 22 articles. From August 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, those pages brought in 111 clicks from Google search, from 265,000 impressions.

The work

Starting February 2, 2026, new articles were added every month. Each one answered a search that people nearby were already typing, and put the place and the occasion in its title. By October 20 there were about 170 of them. That many pages made sense for this business; a hearing clinic would need far fewer, as the last section explains.

The numbers

Comparing the same stretch of each year, August 1 to October 20, the article pages drew 2,900 clicks in 2026 and 54 in 2025. Across March 1 to October 20, 2026, they drew 13,400 clicks and 1.11 million impressions. The figures were read from the business's Search Console on October 22, 2026.

Search Console totals for the article pages: 2,900 clicks and 262,000 impressions from August 1 to October 20, 2026; 54 clicks and 161,000 impressions for the same dates in 2025.
From Google Search Console (web search), filtered to the article pages. Top figures: August 1 to October 20, 2026. Bottom figures: the same dates in 2025.
Search Console daily chart of clicks and impressions for the article pages, July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026, totaling 13,500 clicks and 1.38 million impressions. Clicks stay near zero until March 2026, peak between late April and early July, then settle lower.
Same filter, across the full 16 months Search Console stores: July 31, 2025 to October 20, 2026. Clicks in blue, impressions in purple. Impressions from the older articles dropped off around New Year, before any new articles were added; those older pages are still online and have not been changed since 2023 and 2024. The marker labeled 1 is Google's own note of a search update on April 21, 2026. The site's name has been cropped out.

What the numbers leave out

A click is a visit from Google, not a customer, and this page doesn't share the business's bookings or revenue. The high stretch from April to early July comes mostly from holiday articles, which climb before each date and drop once it passes. What happened for one business is no prediction of what will happen for yours.

What it means for a hearing clinic

A clinic needs far fewer pages: one for each service and one for each town it serves, each approved by your audiologist or hearing instrument specialist before it goes up. The sequence doesn't change: learn what people near you already search for, write the page that answers it, then read Google's own data to see whether people are finding it.
